Max Hurd's the “Look No Further" Armchair

Introducing one of our most anticipated collaborations, the "Look No Further" Armchair by Max Hurd.  

"Over the years I have heard countless friends, clients, family members vent their frustration over the hunt for ‘the perfect chair’. They’re often too small, or too big. Too contemporary, or too nursing home, and the ones that came close to perfect, were ruinously expensive. So, when The House Upstairs approached me, I knew it was time to do my civic duty, and save everyone a hell of a lot of hunting by creating the ‘‘The Look No Further Armchair”. Inspired by some of the greatest chairs in existence, but modified for contemporary living spaces, the “Look No Further Armchair” is that piece you have been waiting for, the chair that lives with you for the rest of your life."

A compact, modern take on the traditional armchair, without losing its cosy charm. We love to pop her in a cosy reading nook, by the fireplace, or as a bedroom piece.

Fabric Options

• Please note: your LNF Armchair is sold without fabric. You're welcome to supply your own—just email us at hello@thehouseupstairs.co.uk and we’ll share our address.
• Or, if you’d like a little help from our design team, we offer a fabric sourcing service for £75. We’ll send you unlimited suggestions, plus swatches delivered straight to your door to help you find the perfect match.
  
• Please note fabric thickness may affect final effect of the piece. Max has chosen Colefax & Fowler, Tree Poppy Red/Green, which has a Martindale score of 16000. Any fabric thicker than this may affect the skirt fit.
• Our standard size LNF Armchair needs 9m of fabric, and 10.5m with cushion.
• To estimate fabric cost, simply multiply the required meterage by the fabric’s retail price per meter.  

Size

• Our standard sized LNFA is W 75cm x D 88cm x H 90cm: Seat depth 56cm, seat height 45cm, arm height 62cm. However if you'd like a bespoke size to fit your space please email us at hello@thehouseupstairs.co.uk for a free quote.

Shipping and Lead Times

Your LNF Armchair (and cushion if ordered) will be ready to ship in approximately 10 weeks. Shipping times may vary depending on your location. Please note, for custom sizes or if you're providing your own fabric, the lead time begins once we’ve received the fabric.
