It’s full of very British, wholesome but hearty recipes.
I love the Slow Roast Lamb Shoulder with White Beans and Salsa Verde Mayo (a real Sunday lunch showstopper), the Goats Cheese & Asparagus Tart and the Blue Cheese & Walnut biscuits (with a glass of wine - yes!)
I made the Chicken Casserole with a splash of Brandy. I didn’t have brandy so I used white wine, it would have 100% been better with Brandy. Using egg yolks to finish the sauce is genius - it makes it custardy and luscious.
RESULT - 8/10 would make again
