This is Darcy, our four poster bed frame, sturdy and cosy all in one. Combining a commanding architectural presence with all the softness of premium upholstery.

Fabric Options

Please note: your Darcy bed frame is sold without fabric. You're welcome to supply your own—just email us at hello@thehouseupstairs.co.uk and we’ll share our address.
Or, if you’d like a little help, we offer a fabric sourcing service for £75. We’ll send you unlimited suggestions, plus swatches delivered straight to your door to help you find the perfect match.
Due to the nature of how this product is built, we ask that fabric choices are limited from light to medium weight materials. Heavyweight or high pile fabrics may affect the precision assembly and final fit of the bed.
A 135 x 190cm x 200h Double Bed Frame needs 11m metres of fabric.
A 150 x 200cm 200h King Bed Frame needs 12m of fabric.
A 180 x 200cm x 200h Super King Bed Frame needs 13m metres of fabric.
To estimate fabric cost, simply multiply the required meterage by the fabric’s retail price per meter.

Size

These sizes offer a guide price and recommended meterage for your new bed frame. For reference a king weighs around 250kg.
Please Note: The Darcy bed frame is pictured here with under bed drawers. Our current production model features a refined, streamlined base and does not include drawer storage.

Shipping and Lead Times

Your Darcy will be ready to ship in approximately 12-14 weeks. Shipping times may vary depending on your location. Please note lead time begins once we’ve received the fabric.

Stock items leave our premises in 2-3 days from purchase unless stated. Fulfilment time on made to order purchases (this includes all furniture) varies and is listed in product descriptions.

Please note we do NOT calculate, include or collect any import taxes or duties for non-UK purchases. Where applicable these are payable to the relevant courier company who collect them on behalf of your local tax authority and are your responsibility.
