How to fit your bespoke headboard
We've made a handy guide to help you set up and fit your bespoke headboard.
Bed Frame Mount Installation
Step 1: Prepare the Area
Remove mattress and bedding.
Position the bed frame where you want it.
Identify and keep the headboard brackets on the bed frame accessible.
Step 2: Align the Headboard
With help if needed, hold the headboard up to the frame to align the mounting holes.
Adjust height/width to preferred position.
Step 3: Attach the Headboard
Insert bolts through the mounting holes on the headboard into the brackets on the frame.
Use washers and nuts where supplied.
Tighten all connections securely using a wrench or spanner.
Tip: Don’t fully tighten until both sides are connected, so you can make small adjustments for level.
Step 4: Final Checks
Ensure the headboard is flush and secure.
Replace mattress and bedding.
Wall Mount Installation
Important: Ensure the wall is strong enough to support the weight of the headboard.
Step 1: Locate Wall Studs
Use a stud finder to locate wooden studs in the wall.
Mark the center of two or more studs at your desired height.
Step 2: Measure and Mark Mounting Points
Measure the width between the mounting brackets on the back of the headboard.
Use a level and tape measure to mark matching points on the wall.
Step 3: Install Wall Bracket
Drill pilot holes and attach mounting bracket/wall batten.
Step 4: Attach Headboard
Lift the headboard and align it with the mounted brackets.
The headboard will sit securely on top of the wall mount without any additional screws needed.
